About Ms. Jayla

Ms. Jayla is a passionate mentor, visionary, and community leader whose journey began with a calling to serve right where she was planted. While living in the Redfern Housing community during her time in foster care, she felt God leading her to do something simple yet powerful care for her environment. What started as picking up garbage and keeping watch over her neighborhood during quiet night hours became an act of obedience, discipline, and love.

In those moments of “night watch,” God began to open her eyes. She saw beyond her circumstances and recognized the potential in the children and families around her. What seemed like small acts of service became the foundation of a greater purpose.

He took what she lacked and turned it into glory. Though she once struggled to experience a healthy educational journey, God proved that she was never left behind. She was graced with the ability to teach with understanding and to impact every room she enters in a structured and meaningful way—building the child from within, no matter the subject.

Through prayer, consistency, and faith, God birthed a vision in her heart—to create a space where creativity, personal growth, and purpose could flourish. That vision became The Creatives Academy.

Today, Ms. Jayla is dedicated to making learning fun, creative, and educational—building character and developing leaders, yes, the ones for the world. Her mission is to raise a generation that walks confidently in their identity, shines brightly, and reflects God in all they do.
